Is your PC(Personal Computer) a little loud?
Is the color of your PC beige?
What about your kids, Can they do there homework or research needed for school/college?
If you answered no for the above questions… Take my advice, check your bank account, talk it over with your wife or husband, and see if it is in your budget to get a new PC!

(Desktop PC… Not a Minitower Above picture)
Today I’m reviewing a Dell Optiplex 755 Mini Tower. I have bought over 45-50 755 Optiplexs this year. I personally install them for my clients and or friends. They love them. There is just one catch… You have to spec your new PC correctly to get a PC that is worth your while! I have taken the time to do this for you. The price is average , maybe a little bit above the margin. You do not want to go out to Walmart, Meijier’s, or anyplace that has food in the store and buy a PC, Unless it is just to get on the internet( You will proably still regret buying it for 299.99!) PC’s at these kind of stores are crap, unless it is the Ubuntu Dell’s. How many of you have heard of the name Ubuntu. It is an OS (Operating System). Like Windows, but Free! Ubuntu is a great OS if you have the time and the Patience to learn it.
When you go to Best buy your not always getting what you want and you always have a salesman conning you into a deal, which isn’t a deal at all. When you go to Dell.com, HP.com, or Alienware.com you don’t have to deal with the non-sense pounded into your brain all at once. Do your research on exactly what you want and get it! It can be a little overwhelming for a beginner, but it pays off in the end. Below I have pre-spec’d a PC to anyones liking.
Let’s go through choosing your components.
CASE
Get a Mini tower. Don’t even consider the the smaller versions. You do not get the proper air flow through your components to keep them cool.
PROCESSOR
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor E6550 (2.33GHz, 4M, VT, 1333MHz FSB)
Dont go cheap on the Processor. Get the upgraded one. Usually the recommended on highlighted Green is the right processor to get.
Operating System
Stick with XP for now. Vista is too buggy and has alot of issues. If you do decide to get vista.. go with the home
version. Ultimate is pricy and is not that GREAT!!
Memory
2GB Non ECC 800mhz
If you can afford 4 Go for it! Get the extra speed on the memory as well.15 - 20 bucks more pays off.
Hard Drive
80GB SATA 3.0Gb/s and 8MB DataBurst Cache
Your OS will go on this Hard Drive.
2nd Hard Drive
250GB SATA 3.0Gb/s and 8MB DataBurst Cache
This is will you will store all of your photos, games, movies, and Etc.
If your OS drive fails you still have all of your data without backing up.
Optical Drives (Cd-rom/Dvd-rom)
48X CD-ROM and 16X DVD+/-RW,SATA,Roxio Creator™CyberlinkPowerDVD
There are 2 here. All under one price and option.
Video Card
256MB ATI Radeon 2400 XT, Dual Monitor DVI or VGA (TV-out), full height
Get the High end video card. This will let you play games, Watch movies, and Just make everything run and look
smoother.
Monitor
Dell 24 inch E248FP Widescreen Flat Panel, Analog
Get the biggest one you can. It pays off! Widescreen is awesome for webpages and to do homework.
Warranty
3 Year Basic Limited Warranty and 3 Year NBD On-Site Service
WARNING
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ITEM TO CHOOSE. IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG WITH THE HARDWARE YOU WANT TO HAVE THE WARRANTY. 3 YEARS IS A GOOD CHOICE FOR MOST PEOPLE. IF YOU DONT PLAN ON UPGRADING FOR A WHILE GET THE 4 YEAR WARRANTY.
WARNING
Thats about it. You still have options to choose from though right? Dont get anything else.
Its worthless and an extra expense that you can get cheaper or free elsewhere.
Total PRICE
1316.00
It may be a bit different for you. Deals go on all the time at dell.
Summary of what I just talked about is below. I will include a couple more products that are great
upgrades in the next couple of blogs.
Good luck and God Bless!

Congratulations! Your system is ready to be built.
